Melbourne & Victoria

Victoria's natural diversity and unique attractions will surprise even the most seasoned traveller. From the cafes of riverside Southgate to the designer fashion stores of South Yarra, Melbourne is a celebration of style and sophistication. Within an hour's drive of Melbourne you can be dining in a winery restaurant in the picturesque Yarra Valley or take a hike in the neighbouring Dandenong Ranges. Following the curve of Port Phillip Bay you will come to the beautiful Mornington Peninsular and for natural history you can visit Australia's largest open-air museum, Sovereign Hill at Ballarat.

Victoria is also home to 38 National Parks and the famous Great Ocean Road, where you can see spectacular rock formations, pounding surf beaches and learn the history of the shipwreck coast.

Melbourne is a city of Victorian-era buildings, parks and gardens, and leafy boulevards. It's Australia's second-largest city and a vibrant, multicultural place characterised by its people rather than any geographical feature. Food, sports and the arts are the main preoccupations.
