theatrical performance on the War of 1812.

  Tuesday, June 26 – Early morning departure for Burlington from the National Gallery of Canada.

Lunch at the upscale, contemporary Carriage House in Burlington, proud recipient of the AAA, CAA Four Diamond Award for 2009, 2010 and 2011.

After lunch, continue to historic Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Prince of Wales Hotel, an oasis of Victorian elegance filled with 21st century comforts.

Following dinner on you own, transfer to the Royal George Theatre for the evening performance of Terence Rattigan’s “French Without Tears.” at the Royal George Theatre.

“Is she learning French too? No, she just stops us from learning it.”

Wednesday, June 27 – Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a morning tour of Willowbank, a National Historic Site that is home to the School of Restoration Arts dedicated to the teaching of all arts and skills related to the conservation and restoration of historic properties.

The Willowbank estate, with its complex layers of history and design, is both a teaching venue and a working laboratory for conservation activity.

Following lunch on your own, transfer to the Royal George Theatre for a matinee performance of Bernard Shaw’s Misalliance.

After dinner on your own, transfer to Festival Theatre for the evening performance of Ragtime, based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow.

   Thursday, June 28 – Breakfast at the hotel and check out.

Transfer to the Niagara Historical Society & Museum to visit the Museum and enjoy "Petticoats, Boots and Muskets," a theatrical performance that will explore the social history of the War of 1812.

Lunch at Ravine Winery, located in the Village of St. Davids on a rolling hillside farm owned by the descendants of David Jackson Lowrey, who originally planted the farm in 1869.

Historic buildings, like the William Woodruff House (circa 1802) and the authentically recreated 1920s Lowrey Farm fruit packing shed, are home to the winery’s hospitality centre, tasting rooms, on-site deli/bakery and gourmet food store.

After lunch depart for Ottawa. BL
