Angela Hewitt's Fourth ![]() in Magione, Umbria June 27 - July 5, 2008 |
| "The Trasimeno Music Festival was presented for the third time this July, and was our most thrilling yet. Those of you who have already visited us know the magic of Lake Trasimeno. Situated in the heart of Umbria, just twenty minutes from the historic city of Perugia, it is one of the most beautiful natural sights in Italy, and the country’s fourth largest lake. The festival venue is the Castle of the Knights of Malta in Magione, with its stunning 15th-century courtyard. The festival brings together musicians and music-lovers from all over the world for a week. | |||
| For me the highlight is performing with artists of my own choosing, making music in an intimate and inspiring setting. For the audience, it is the opportunity to experience a different concert every night while at the same time becoming familiar with the beauties of Umbria. We offer the complete package to those who want not just the music, but guided tours to such places as Assisi, Perugia, Todi, and Gubbio. These include the Gala Dinners that precede several of the concerts.
The programme for the next festival, which will be held from June 28 to July 4, 2008, as well
as an updated tour program, follows. You can look forward to another week of intense music-making!
I look forward to welcoming you to the Trasimeno Music Festival 2008!" (Angela Hewitt, Artistic Director) |
